“Let us help you realise your true potential”
Hard Work & Consistency aren’t glamorous but together they get results…..
Personal Training is the most effective way to achieve changes in your lifestyle, body and overall fitness. The latest fitness fads, crazy diets, group fitness classes and budget gyms that promise a quick fix may seem appealing, but to achieve real, sustainable, lasting results requires a training programme that’s tailored specifically to you, your lifetsyle, strengths and weaknesses. One size does not fit all!
Physical exercise to support mental wellbeing Open or Close
Here at Lee Paines Health & Wellness, we believe that fitness is more than skin deep.
According to recent statistics from Mind (www.mind.co.uk), approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year, and within England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. Exercise promotes chemicals in the brain that improve your mood and make you more relaxed. Specifically, the brain releases feel-good chemicals called endorphins throughout the body. Physical activity can also reduce anxiety and depressed mood, and enhance self-esteem and self-worth. Because mental health problems are now increasingly common, we work with a number of clients who experience them (and a lot of us have experienced them ourselves too). We do not discriminate against those who suffer with their mental health – one of our goals is to help you reduce, cope or manage your mental health through exercises that you enjoy and with our ongoing support.
Exercise to keep you fit for retirement Open or Close
Many people associate fitness with aesthetics, but there is so much more to exercise than having rock hard abs!
It’s never too late to start moving! In fact, exercise is beneficial to us all, whatever our age. As we age, inactivity can have a greater impact on our health (and can subsequently impact our quality of life). For example, a condition called sarcopenia is the progressive loss of muscle mass and strength (the main causes of which include age, gender and level of physical activity). Sarcopenia is thought to effect approximately 10% of those aged 50 and over. This loss of muscle mass and strength can increase the risk of falls, fractures and breaks. One of the best ways to prevent and even reverse sarcopenia is to use resistance training (which will maintain and increase strength and muscle mass) alongside regular activity that gets your muscles moving like a jog or brisk walk. Our trainers do not have a ‘one size fits all’ programme – which means we can create personalised programmes for you which are tailored to your needs and capabilities, whatever your age.
Exercise and therapy to combat the the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle Open or Close
The average person in the UK takes circa 6 sickness days per year. However, these absences are not always related to bugs, coughs and colds. For some, these sickness days can relate to other things such as mental health, back problems and other musculoskeletal problems. Here we look at three common areas of health that exercise and therapy can alleviate.
Those who work in office jobs can also be impacted by health issues. There is a growing body of evidence that sedentary behaviour can increase the risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure. Sitting at a desk for hours at a time can also lead to lower back pain caused by misalignment of the spine - the most common work related problem. Exercise can help to reduce muscle tension caused by poor sitting habits. Our Soft Tissue Therapists can also work with you to help alleviate muscle pain – either through Sports & Remedial Massage or through Myofascial Release (a form of soft tissue therapy that focuses on releasing the body's most flexible yet durable structures by improving posture and restoring balance to create change within the body).
Our philosophy is that 12 and 16 week quick fix short term packages won’t give you lasting results. Instead we work with our clients to help them implement a long term sustainable change towards a healthier lifestyle. Our job is to make you stronger and healthier and ultimately get you to a point whereby you feel excited and passionate about exercise! Our private environment offers the perfect platform for clients to gain confidence and enjoy working out.
We train a wide range of people from different backgrounds but they all have one thing in common - they want results. Our job as trainers is to help each and every individual to become the best that they can be.
We appreciate that hiring a professional trainer is quite a financial commitment to make, and you deserve to see a return on this. We promise not to disappoint. In fact, we believe you’re more likely to achieve your goals
If you hire the services of a personal trainer, it can be a lot more cost effective than an expensive membership to a gym or leisure club you rarely use. All we ask from you in return is that you are dedicated, prepared to take on board our advice and work hard to achieve success.
The reality is that for many of our clients we are an appointment in the diary that they won’t cancel. We offer that certain level of commitment required to ensure clients adhere to the program of physical exercise, that would be easy to skip if training alone. Together we are accountable and responsible.
The benefits of regular exercise and a complementary diet can help us live longer, keep blood pressure and cholesterol in check, reduce our risk of major diseases, relieve stress and simply keep us looking good. Yet despite the numerous benefits of activity, many people still manage to find an excuse not to do any!!
We provide RESULTS driven bespoke training programs that are tailored to suit the individual needs of every client. Every session delivers expert instruction, motivation and advice. We have the expertise to make every session challenging and FUN!
